Frequently Asked Questions

What is Soundbath?

Soundbath is a long weekend shaped by community, creativity, and sound. Three full days of immersive sound, art, and shared experience — blending creative workshops, music, shared meals, and rejuvenative practices, tucked away in an idyllic yet rustic hideaway in the heart of Cornwall.

How is it different than normal festivals?

Soundbath is built by people, not a company - with a belief that parties can change our lives for the better. More on this topic later…

It’s intentionally intimate and deliberately human. We value space and quiet, alongside the energy of a flowing group. We share the space, the food, the graft, and the experience together.

Soundbath runs on contribution - no one is a spectator. We muck in, look after one another with offerings and support, and co-create the weekend as it unfolds. This shared effort is what makes each Soundbath special and unique.

Because of this, Soundbath feels less like a festival you attend and more like something you’re part of.

Is it possible to buy just a 1- or 2-day pass?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer day or shorter tickets. We pay £130 per person, regardless of how long you attend.

Soundbath is about stepping fully into a shared experience — for both the individual and the collective. We believe its restorative effect comes from a group of people leaning in together, giving it time to unfold and create something that simply can’t be achieved in 24 hours.

Many people choose to treat Soundbath as a rare pause — a few days set aside to rest, connect, and reset.

Why does it go through to Monday now?

A key part of Soundbath is the journey we go on together. We often describe it as a crescendo–decrescendo through each day, and across the weekend as a whole.

Having reflected and listened to feedback, we felt there was an opportunity to truly land — to slow down, reflect, and support the integration of the experience back into everyday life. For the first time, we’re creating space for this final chapter. We’re imagining cosy campfires, a couple of treats, and sharing whatever feels right.

We’ve been asked, “If I can only take two days off work, which would you suggest?”

Depending on travel time to Cornwall, we’d suggest Friday and Monday, allowing for the full arc of the weekend. Late arrivals on Thursday are very normal, and some people arrive on Friday morning.

What’s in the Natural Spa and when can we use it?

The gem at the heart of Retallack Woodlands is The Quarry. Set amongst the trees, it includes a wood-fired hot tub, a glass-fronted sauna (~15-person capacity), and a freshwater quarry for swimming.

The spa is open throughout the weekend. Once the party has started, we advise pairing up when heading to The Quarry. There are also two showers and a loo at the spa.

What workshops are there?

Previous Soundbath workshops and sessions have included creative design, group painting, yogas, qi gong, breathwork, cacao ceremonies, meditation, and singing workshops — alongside carefully selected talks and facilitated sharing circles.

Some sessions are gently guided, others more open, but everything is relaxed and drop-in. You can join in, step out, or just watch — no experience or skill needed.

You’re welcome to simply take part, or, if you would like, to offer something of your own.

The programme is held lightly, allowing space for both structure and spontaneity as the weekend unfolds (reference: the rain at Kudhva last year!).

Can I pay for my ticket in instalments??

Yes, if spreading the cost would make things easier, just get in touch with us.

A simple option we can offer is a £100 deposit to secure your place, with the remaining balance paid closer to the event (at least one month beforehand).

Soundbath is built on trust and goodwill, so if you’d like to arrange this, just drop us a message.

If there are any more questions please reach out to one of us organisers.

With love,
